Hypnotherapy And The Non-Smoker?

Smoking is something that physicians use to prescribe to calm nerves. It is also a bad habit that has been around for years, causing much heart ache and pain. There are a million and two reasons to stop smoking and many failed attempts every year. The over the counter products and prescribe products alike make great promises, but often fall short of their claims. Along with the desire to stop smoking an individual must become knowledgeable about the entire process. This not only gives the person the tools to quit it also provides the motivation as well. The focus of this article is to examine why it is so hard to quit and how hypnotherapy helps a person lay cigarettes down forever.

Going Cold Turkey
Did you know that a recent study found that over 90% of smokers quit by going “cold turkey”. What is meant by cold turkey is that the smoker stopped smoking without reducing or the help of other products. This can be difficult and the smoker can experience many negative side effects. From feeling queasy to having aches and pains are just of the few things that smokers have to deal with. Other products that are suppose to ease the process can often have undesirable side effects as well. Not to mention the fact that they are costly and can have very serious health concerns if used improperly.

If going cold turkey is painful and products have nasty side effects, this leaves the options limited and a negative picture. However, these things are real and smoking is not an easy habit to break it is possible. Research has found that hypnotherapy is one of the most effective ways to stop smoking and not return. This comes as no surprise after learning all of the other habits, behaviors and positives that hypnotherapy provides. The success comes from the fact that hypnotherapy provides a change in the programming or hard wiring of the brain. This is the only way to reduces the side effects and kick the cravings. After all the brain is the controlling factor in any behavior and the only one that can actually change the behavior. The smoking products on the market do not work on changing the emotions, thoughts or behaviors of smoking, but simply to repress the symptoms. Hypnotherapy or hypnosis on the other hand aims at changing the root of the problem.

Any Negatives To Hypnotherapy
The only negatives to hypnosis or hypnotherapy are the rumors or fears that some individuals experience before entering into treatment. There have been long standing rumors that hypnotherapy reduces a persons control, lessens their guard or has them clucking like a chicken. All of these rumors or fears are completely untrue. A hypnotherapsit can not guide you to say or do anything that you would not normally do. In fact you are in control during the entire session and can stop the sessions at any time. Many individuals find that they not only quit smoking through hypnotherapy, but also can improve their overall life.
